Succession Planning
Leadership & Strategy Learning Circle
Succession planning is about much more than replacing a Chief Executive, Board Chair or senior staff member when they leave. Done well, it protects organisational knowledge, builds future capability and helps an association continue confidently through periods of change.
For associations, this can be particularly important. Teams are often small, specialist knowledge may sit with only one or two people, and changes at Board or executive level can have a significant impact on continuity.
This Learning Circle will explore practical ways to identify critical roles and knowledge, reduce organisational dependency and prepare for both planned and unexpected leadership transitions.
Featured Speaker
Topic: Succession Planning
Speaker: To be confirmed
The session will begin with practical insights and experience from our featured speaker, followed by an off-the-record peer kÅrero where participants can discuss their own succession challenges and learn from approaches being used across other associations.
